Ba Ria Vung Tau is located in the eastern part of South Vietnam, next to Dong Nai Province, with Ho Chi Minh City to the west, Binh Thuan Province to the east, and the South China Sea to the south. This is a very special site as it is the main gateway to the South China Sea for the provinces of South Vietnam. This location affords Ba Ria Vung Tau many advantages such as the exploitation of oil fields out in the sea, the ability to harbor many sea ports to maintain sea travel and transportation, the cultivation of a large seafood industry, and of course, the makings of a major tourism spot. Additionally, Ba Ria Vung Tau’s position lends itself to the development of all forms of roadway transportation, airway transportation, railroad transportation, and can be considered a major transit hub and central point of travel to and from all other locations throughout Vietnam and the world.With a dry climate due to a strong influence from the sea, there are essentially two seasons in the year: the“dry season” spans from November through April, and the “wet season” runs from May to October. The average temperature ranges from 25 to 27 degrees Centigrade, and the average rainfall is between 1300mm and 1750mm
